Removing the steering column trim requires disconnecting the cable from the negative terminal of the battery. Lower the column of the press down to the bottommost setting. Pushing on the till lever locking tab with a small pocket screwdriver, and potentially pulling the till lever, if attached to the steering column. Next, folk off the knee bolster trim panel and steering wheel. It is now to unbolt the two fasteners that are used to fix the lower cover and slightly downward to unlock the front locking tabs. Remove all fasteners and, taking cognizance of the center-line seams, gently unlock the upper and lower halves and remove the covers. While assembling the top and the bottom of the cabinet again, you need to bring the alignment dowel in each corner in line to fit into the corresponding dowel on the other piece before twisting the two sections firmly into place. Once again, it will fit perfectly the first time and as with the other parts, installation is done in the reverse manner of disassembly.
