If a problem has arisen it will be required to determine if the problem is electrical, mechanical or hydraulic in order for repair work to be considered. Only when the person to be diagnosed knows in detail how the transaxle works and is built, as well as using special diagnostic equipment, can it be assumed that it is not a general guidance and can be considered diagnosed. It is therefore important that any deficiency with the automatic transaxle is diagnosed by a dealer service department or any other known repair shop. Second, do not pull a faulty transaxle before the car has been examined by an experienced mechanic armed with the necessary equipment because diagnostics have to be done with the transaxle still in the car.
