How to remove and install the Turn Signal Switch on Chevrolet Equinox?

The multi-function switches are located on the left and right sides of the steering column. Each incorporates multiple functions; the turn signal, headlight, low-to-high beam and flash-to-pass are on the left. The windshield wiper/washer is on the right. Release the tilt wheel lever and place the steering wheel in the center position. Remove the steering column trim covers. Depress the retaining tab and disconnect the turn signal switch electrical connector. Depress the turn signal switch retaining tabs, then detach the switch from the steering column housing. To remove either turn signal switch, depress the retaining tabs and pull it out of the housing. Installation is the reverse of removal. Note: After properly aligning, then installing a turn signal switch assembly, ensure the locking tabs are fully engaged.
