  Q: How do you remove the wheel cylinder?

  A: To remove the wheel cylinder, start by blocking the front wheels to prevent the vehicle from rolling. Then, loosen the rear wheel lug nuts and raise the rear of the vehicle, supporting it securely on jack stands. Remove the wheel and proceed to remove the Brake Shoes. To install the wheel cylinder, position it correctly and connect the brake line fitting finger tight. Then, install the wheel cylinder mounting bolts and tighten them to the specified torque. Make sure to tighten the brake line fitting securely. Put the brake drum on the hub flange and install the wheel and lug nuts. Bleed the brake system and lower the vehicle to the ground. Finally, tighten the lug nuts to the specified torque and thoroughly check the operation of the brakes before driving the vehicle in traffic.
