To replace the sway bar link, start by loosening the front wheel lug nuts and raising the front of the vehicle. Support it securely on jackstands and remove the front wheels. To detach the sway bar link from the strut or the bar, hold the ball stud with an Allen wrench while turning the wrench to loosen and remove the nut. Installation is the reverse of removal, so tighten the nuts to the proper torque specifications. Finally, install the wheels and lug nuts, then lower the vehicle and tighten the wheel lug nuts to the torque. For the sway bar link and sway bar bushings, once the subframe has been removed or lowered sufficiently, remove the sway bar link bracket bolts and separate the bar from the subframe. Installation is the reverse of the removal procedure, so tighten the sway bar link clamp bolts to the torque.
