Inside the Geo Metro, electrical flow runs through both the driver's side of the dashboard under the dashboard and the area next to the battery in the engine section. These areas contain blend connects for wires and fuses that define how electricity moves through the car. Every fuse on the fuse panel guards a separate circuit, and the panel shows which circuit each fuse protects. Small blade fuses designed with easy-to-remove fingertip contact help you quickly access and replace them, and first step in fixing faulty electrical parts is checking the fuse. The blown fuse shows itself by being transparent, and you can see if it's damaged with just a look. You can check continuity by easily accessing the copper contact tips of the blades inside the fuse body. When fixing a blown fuse, you must replace it exactly the same type as before. Standard fuse ratings intermix, but they need to match what is required to keep each electric path safe. When a replacement fuse shorts out right away, you need to solve the real problem--a damaged wiring connection.
