For the front side marker lights on a Chevrolet Monte Carlo, start by unlocking the
Headlight housing, then flip the bulb holder counterclockwise to remove it. Pull out the old bulb, insert a new one if it stops with a click. When changing the front park and turn signal bulbs, do it in the same way you replaced the side marker lights. To reach the fog lights, take out the headlight cover, spin the fog light bulb attachment to the left, disconnect the electrical wire, and replace the whole bulb holder. To replace the center high-mounted brake light, open the trunk compartment, remove mounting bracket screws and housing fasteners, disconnect the electrical connection, and install everything backwards to complete the process. To fix license plate lights, look underneath or take off the plate; turn the bulb holder counterclockwise to remove it, replace the old bulb with a new one, and put the holder back correctly. When you need to swap out your taillight bulbs, first open the trunk. Yank out the carpeting retainer, and you'll find plastic wing nuts keeping the taillight housing in place-pop those out. Detach the electrical connector, then follow the regular bulb replacement procedure. Open the rear bumper cover, remove the screws, take out the housing, rotate the bulb holder left to remove it, install a new bulb. Inside your car, lift off part of the lamp lens, replace the burned light bulb by pulling it out, and plug the new one in until it clicks. For reading light bulbs, open the lens carefully, remove the old bulb with care, and slide in the new one, then watch the lens lock back into position. You can change the glove box-lit instrument panel light by pulling the bulb out from under the glove box.
