The cover sealing area must be cleaned with solvent to remove all the old gasket material, and the condition of the cover must be assessed for nicks, and other cases of damage, while using gasket removal tools that do not employ power. For installation, engage the notch of the oil pump and those of the crankshaft spline and then engaging the cover loosely without using any sealant. Taking off the cover, spread 3/16 inch thick of RTV sealant on the sealing zone and the three bolt hole zones of the cover. Insert the front cover in its position and fit the main seal to the crankshaft oil pump core and crankshaft splines, fix the crankshaft pulley temporarily. of torque on all bolts finger tight before moving up to the torque set out in the instruction while the 7 mm centre bolt is tightened last. The remaining part of the installation is in the order of dismantling the parts. Last, but not the least put engine oil and coolant and finally start the engine and look for any signs of leakage.
