How to remove and install Hood Cable and Hood Latch on Chevrolet Traverse?

To remove the latch, open the hood and remove the sight shield. Scribe a line around the latch for alignment. Remove the retaining bolts securing the latch to the radiator support and disconnect the remote start connector and hood release cable. For installation, reverse the removal steps. To remove the cable, open the hood and remove the sight shield and air filter. Remove the cable from the latch and bracket, and remove the driver's side instrument panel cover. Release the cable from the retainer and slide the end out of the handle. Finally, pull the cable through from inside the vehicle. Installation is the reverse of removal.
