- Q: How to disconnect and remove the Air Filter Box on GMC Canyon?A:Disconnect the Mass Air Flow/IAT Sensor electrical connector at the air intake tube. Release the clamps at each end of the duct and remove the duct from the air cleaner housing. Loosen the clamps (A andto remove the air intake hose and loosen clamp C to remove the resonator box from the engine (inline engine). Remove the fasteners securing the Air Filter Box to the fenderwell. Detach the AIR hose from the box on vehicles so equipped. Remove the box from the engine compartment. If the resonator is to be removed for access to the Throttle Body or other repairs, disconnect the clamp at the throttle body. Loosen the clamps (A andto remove the air intake hose and loosen clamp C to remove the resonator box from the engine (inline engine). Pull up the air intake resonator box until its two pins release from the clips on the engine (inline engine). Installation is the reverse of removal.
