    A: To remove the hood release cable, start by detaching the clips and removing the plastic air deflector cover. Remove the radiator grille and detach the cable. Remove the latch assembly by taking out the mounting bolts. Attach a piece of string or thin wire to the end of the cable and unclip all cable retaining clips. To reinstall, insert the came into the engine compartment, connect the cable, and fasten it.
