To begin, remove the headlights and raise the vehicle, supporting it securely on jackstands. Release the plastic push-pins from the front of the upper radiator cover that secure the top of the bumper cover. For GXP models, remove the push-pin retainers and the lower air dam; for standard models, remove the snaps and screws from each side of the air dam, including the splash shield fasteners, and disconnect the left and right sides of the air dam from the front fascia. Next, remove the push-pin retainers and screws, then take off the air dam along with the middle splash shield. If fog lights are installed, disconnect them. Remove the push-pin fasteners from the fronts of the inner wheel wells where they attach to the bumper cover, and working through the holes in the inner wheel wells, remove the bolts that attach the bumper cover to the fenders. Have an assistant help pull outward on the ends of the bumper cover to release it from the fender clips, then remove the bumper cover. For coupe and convertible models, remove the three fasteners from the rear of each inner fender well, the single screw at each forward upper end of the bumper cover, and the two screws along each upper outer edge of the bumper cover after pulling back the trunk carpet. Use a plastic trim tool to release the five retainers along the upper center part of the bumper cover, then lift it off. For sedan models, raise the vehicle and support it securely on jackstands, then open the trunk. Remove the retainers that secure the rear inner wheel wells to the bumper cover, pull the inner wheel back, and remove the push-pin retainers or bolts from the upper edges of the bumper cover. Remove the screws from the middle of the bumper cover and the push-pin retainers from the lower edges at each side. Have an assistant help pull outward on the ends of the bumper cover to release it from the fender clips and release the ratchet-type retainers at the quarter panels. Disconnect the wiring from the license light, then remove the bumper cover. Installation is the reverse of removal for all models.
