How to Inspect, Remove, Clean, and Install a Throttle Body?

During the inspection process, verify that the throttle linkage operates smoothly. Remove the air intake duct from the throttle body in order to inspect the bore for any carbon or residue build-up. If any dirt is present, it should be cleaned using a solvent or carburetor cleaner that is safe for oxygen sensor systems and catalytic converters. To remove, the first step is to disconnect the cable from the negative battery terminal. Disconnect the duct and the wiring. Remove the four throttle body mounting fasteners and take out the throttle body. It is important to inspect the O-ring-type gasket and replace it if it is damaged or worn. To reinstall, switch the removal steps going from the last step to the first step.
