- Q: How do you replace the power brake booster assembly?A: The power brake booster assembly is in the engine compartment on the driver's side firewall. Remove the Brake Master Cylinder and disconnect the vacuum hose from the booster assembly. Inside the car, disconnect the pushrod from the brake pedal. Remove the nuts securing the booster assembly to the firewall and pull it and remove it. Apply silicone sealer to the firewall and secure the assembly. Attach the pushrod to the brake pedal and connect the vacuum hose. Install the brake master cylinder and bleed the brake system. Check for proper operation of the power brakes.
