Raise the window to the full-up position and remove the trim panel. Pry back the water shield enough to gain access to the lock cylinder. To help prevent tools or door components from falling into the bottom of the door cavity, place rags or newspaper inside. Disengage the lock rod from the lock cylinder, then use a screwdriver to slide the lock cylinder retaining clip out of the lock cylinder, taking care not to damage the outer door skin. With the clip removed, the lock cylinder can be taken out from the outside of the door. Installation involves reversing the removal process.
