How do you remove and install the fuel pressure regulator in a Toyota Matrix and Pontiac Vibe?

Relieve the fuel system pressure, then disconnect the cable from the negative terminal of the battery. Remove the fuel tank cap. Remove the fuel pump assembly. If you're working a 2005 and later model, remove the plastic support on the bottom of the pump by releasing the clips with a screwdriver. Twist the fuel pressure regulator from the assembly. Installation is the reverse of removal. Be sure to install a new 0-ring(s) on the fuel pressure regulator.
