The front fender must be removed to remove the antenna base and cable. Remove the antenna mounting bracket nuts and then remove the antenna base, mounting bracket, and cable. The installation is the reverse of removal.

Remove the glove compartment and detach the lower rear portion of the inner fender liner. Disconnect the antenna mast cable from the radio cable where they join in a connector under the far right end of the instrument panel. Attach a fish wire to the end of the cable and pass the cable and grommet through the hole in the cowl into the fender opening. Remove the antenna mast base mounting nut and pull out the base and its cable. Attach the new cable to the fish wire and pull the wire back slowly and carefully into the body, routing it as the original cable had been.
