- A:The Fuel Pump Driver Module, if replaced with a new one, must be programmed by a professional-grade scan tool in order to function properly. On 2015 and earlier models, remove the trim panel from the right side of the trunk. On 2016 and later models, open the trunk or liftgate and remove the floor panel and carpeting. On some models, the rear speaker must be removed. Disconnect the electrical connector from the Fuel Pump Driver Module (Slide back the lock and depress the tab to unlock the release lever, then flip the release lever open and unplug the connector). Remove the nut and detach the module from the bracket (Fuel Pump Driver Module mounting nut (2015 and earlier models shown, later models are mounted to the battery tray)).
