How do I replace Vapor Canister,Canister Purge Valves and Fuel Pressure Sensor in a Buick Enclave,Chevrolet Traverse and GMC Acadia? Posted by Customer
A:
Disconnect the electrical connector from the EVAP purge control solenoid valve, which is located on the top of the intake manifold, next to the throttle body. Then, disconnect the hose. Unscrew the bolt and remove the purge valve from the upper intake manifold. Installation is the reverse of removal. For the fuel tank pressure sensor, remove the fuel tank. Disconnect the electrical connector and pull the fuel tank pressure sensor from the fuel pump module. Installation is the reversal of removal. To remove the EVAP canister, raise the vehicle and support it securely on jackstands. Remove the fuel tank. Disconnect the electrical connector from the canister vent solenoid valve. Disconnect the hoses from the canister, which is located on top of the fuel tank, at the rear. Remove the retainer securing the canister on top of the fuel tank and remove the canister. Installation is the reverse of removal.

EVAP Purge Solenoid Valve Removal involves removing the engine cover, disconnecting the electrical connector from the valve, disconnecting the hose, unscrewing the bolt and removing the purge valve from the upper intake manifold. Installation is simply the reverse of removal. For EVAP Canister Removal, raise the vehicle and support it securely on jackstands. Then, disconnect the hoses from the canister, disconnect the electrical connector from the canister vent solenoid valve, remove the fasteners securing the canister, and remove the canister. Installation is again the reverse of removal.
