To remove the throttle body for the 3.2L V6 engine, follow these steps:Clamp off the coolant hoses connected to the throttle body.Disconnect the vent tube and coolant lines from the throttle body.Disconnect the electrical connector.Remove the throttle body mounting fasteners to detach it from the intake manifold.

To remove the throttle body, start by disconnecting the cable from the negative terminal of the battery and removing the engine covers. For installation, use a new gasket and tighten the throttle body fasteners to the proper torque specifications. Perform the idle relearn procedure, which varies depending on the model year. For 2001 and earlier models, an idle relearn is required if the PCM is disconnected, loses power, or is reprogrammed, or if the battery is disconnected. Start the engine and let it idle until it reaches a temperature greater than 176F, then follow specific steps for automatic or manual transmission models. Clear any codes that are present. For 2007 and later models, if the throttle body has been cleaned or replaced, a scan tool is required to perform the idle learn procedure. If the PCM has been replaced or reprogrammed, follow specific steps to allow the engine to learn the correct idle. Verify the engine is idling properly and clear any DTCs that are set.
