- A:On 2009 and earlier models, remove the headlight housing and on 2010 and later models, remove the inner fender splash shield. Twist the bulb retainer counterclockwise and withdraw the bulb retainer from the headlight housing. Turn the bulb holder counter clockwise and remove it from the housing. Remove the bulb from the headlight housing. Note the position of the bulb, then remove the bulb from the headlight housing. Handling the new bulb only by the plastic base portion, properly align and insert the new bulb into the headlight housing. Properly align and install the bulb retainer, then twist the retainer clockwise to lock it in place.
