To work on vehicles made in 2006 or later, first get rid of the old air conditioning refrigerant, then disconnect the black cable from the battery's negative terminal. Stand on the parking brake, make the back tires immovable, then lift the front of the vehicle just level with sturdy jackstands. Take off the drivebelt, remove the right front wheel, and pull away all plastic factory covers that are below and around the compressor so you can work more easily. Then take off the engine splash guard below and oil filter from under the engine bay. Seal off both end connections of your refrigerant hoses from the compressor, then block all other possible entry points with plugs to keep dust and moisture out. Unscrew the washer fluid container and detach the compressor from its mount to pull it free from the wheel area. Connect the clutch from the old compressor to the new one if needed, needing special tools to do this. Put in the right amount of oil for the new compressor, using numbers from your measurements of the old compressor's oil levels. Set up is the same as taking it apart, except you use fresh rubber gaskets and grease the rubber with clean engine oil. Then make sure the flat gaskets sit straight and stay oil free. Finish job by draining out air, refilling the system with enough refrigerant, and checking for leaks.
