Detach the tie-rod ends and the power steering pressure and return lines from the rack and pinion. Lower the rack and pinion from the vehicle. To install, reverse the removal steps and tighten all fasteners to torque specifications. Check the power steering fluid level and bleed the system. Mark the relationship of the intermediate shaft coupler to the rack and pinion input shaft and remove the pinch bolt. Unscrew the power steering lines and separate the relay rod from the Pitman arm. Remove the rack and pinion retaining bolts and detach the rack and pinion from the frame. To install, reverse the removal steps and tighten all fasteners to torque specifications. Check the power steering fluid level and bleed the system.
