- A:To remove the sway bar kit assembly, first loosen the rear wheel lug nuts, raise the rear of the vehicle, and support it securely on jackstands. Block the front wheels to prevent the vehicle from rolling off the stands, and then remove the rear wheels. Next, remove the sway bar kit link-to-frame nuts/bolts and the nuts from the lower ends of the links, and separate the link from the bar. Finally, remove the sway bar kit clamp bolts from the axle housing and remove the sway bar kit assembly. To install the sway bar kit assembly, inspect the sway bar bushings and link bushings for cracks, tears, and other signs of deterioration, and replace them as necessary.
