- A:Raise the rear of the vehicle and support securely on jackstands. Block the front wheels so the vehicle doesn't roll off the stands. Remove the shock absorber upper mounting bolts from the frame. Remove the lower mounting nut, washer, and bolt from the anchor plate bracket. Remove the shock absorber. Installation is the reverse of removal.
