Afterward, remove the timing belt cover and, if reusing the timing belt, paint an arrow on it indicating the direction of rotation. Loosen the tensioner pulley and bolt, secure the tensioner temporarily, and remove the timing belt. If necessary, slide off the crankshaft sprocket and belt guide, and if you plan to replace the camshaft oil seal, remove the camshaft sprocket and cover. Carefully inspect all components for damage or wear. For installation, ensure correct valve timing marks alignment, slip on the timing belt, and release the tensioner. Rotate the crankshaft through two complete revolutions, retighten the tensioner nut, temporarily install the crankshaft pulley, and turn the crankshaft for another two full revolutions. Recheck valve timing marks alignment, retighten the tensioner bolt and nut, and proceed to reinstall all remaining parts, adjusting valve clearances on eight-valve engines when cold and following the necessary procedures for a successful engine startup and road test.
