To remove the driveaxle/hub, start by loosening the driveaxle/hub nut and the wheel lug nuts. Then, raise the front of the vehicle and support it securely on jackstands. Remove the wheel and proceed to remove the brake caliper, caliper mounting bracket, and brake disc from the hub. Mark the strut to the steering knuckle and loosen the strut-to-steering knuckle bolts. Next, remove the tie-rod end from the steering knuckle and separate the balljoint from the steering knuckle by removing the balljoint-to-steering knuckle pinch bolt. Remove the driveaxle/hub nut and push the driveaxle from the hub, supporting the end with a piece of wire. Finally, remove the strut-to-knuckle bolts and carefully separate the steering knuckle from the strut. To install the driveaxle/hub, guide the knuckle into position while inserting the driveaxle into the hub. Push the knuckle into the strut flange and install the bolts and nuts, aligning the steering knuckle using the marks on the strut flange. Tighten the nuts to the correct torque specifications. Connect the balljoint to the knuckle and tighten the pinch bolt/nut. Attach the tie-rod to the steering knuckle and tighten the tie-rod nut. Place the brake disc on the hub and install the caliper mounting bracket and caliper. Install the driveaxle/hub nut and tighten it securely. Install the wheel and lug nuts, lower the vehicle, and tighten the lug nuts and driveaxle/hub nut to the proper torque specifications. Finally, have the front-end alignment checked and adjusted if necessary.
