Depress the brake pedal a few times to bring the pads into contact with the disc.

To remove the brake assembly, start by removing the cap from the brake fluid reservoir and draining about two-thirds of the fluid. Then, loosen the front wheel lug nuts, raise the front of the vehicle, and secure it on jackstands. Remove the wheels and inspect the brake disc. If machining is needed, remove the disc. Proceed to remove the inner and outer brake pads, as well as the upper and lower pad retainers from the caliper mounting bracket. Replace any cracked or distorted retainers. To install the new brake assembly, apply anti-squeal compound to the back of both pads and let it set up. Install the upper and lower pad retainers, followed by the inner and outer brake pads. Inspect and lubricate the caliper mounting bolt with high-temperature brake grease. Replace the sealing washers on the brake hose inlet fitting. When reinstalling the caliper, tighten the mounting bolts and wheel lug nuts to the specified torque. After completing the job, depress the brake pedal a few times to bring the pads into contact with the disc. Check the brake fluid level and add if necessary. Finally, carefully test the brakes before putting the vehicle back into normal service.
