To remove the radio in a vehicle, start by removing the center trim panel and the heater and air conditioning control assembly. Then, remove the four radio mounting screws and pull the radio out from the dash, disconnecting the electrical connectors and antenna cable from the backside of the radio. To remove a door speaker, remove the door trim panel and the speaker mounting screw, then pull out the speaker and disconnect the electrical connector. When installing the speaker, ensure that the lower mounting flange is aligned with and fits inside the lower edge of the speaker mounting hole in the door. To remove a tweeter, remove the A-pillar trim panel and disconnect the tweeter electrical connector. Grasp the tweeter grille firmly and pull off the grille and the tweeter as a single assembly, then carefully disengage the three retainers with a small screwdriver and separate the tweeter from the grille. Installation for all components is the reverse of removal.
