- Q:How do you remove the Turn Signal Switch? Posted by Customer
- A:To remove the turn signal switch, start by locating it on the left side of the steering column. This switch combines various functions such as the turn signal, headlight dimmer, windshield wiper/washer, flasher, and cruise control (if equipped). Make sure the tilted steering wheel is in the center position before proceeding. Remove the steering wheel and steering column trim covers. Then, trace the wires of the turn signal switch down to the connectors and disconnect them. Next, remove the screws holding the switch in place and detach it from the steering column. It's important to note that the turn signal switch is integrated into the airbag clockspring and should be replaced as a unit with its wiring harness. If installing a new switch, it will come with a special tab to keep the clockspring centered during installation. Do not remove this tab until the installation is complete.
