To remove and install components on 1990-91 Eldorado and Seville vehicles, first depressurize the hydraulic accumulator if equipped with anti-lock brakes, then use a syringe to extract half of the brake fluid from the master cylinder reservoir. Safely support the vehicle, remove the wheel and tire assembly, and reinstall two lug nuts to secure the disc brake rotor. Loosen the parking brake cable tension, remove the retaining clip from the parking brake lever, and detach the parking brake cable and return spring, followed by the damper. Remove the locknut while holding the parking brake lever, then take out the lever, seal, and washer, inspecting for wear. Bottom the piston in the caliper bore to create space between the pads and rotor, then reinstall the washer, seal, lever, and nut. If removing the caliper, detach the brake hose bolt, discard gaskets, and plug openings to prevent fluid loss. Remove the caliper mounting bolts and take off the caliper, suspending it with wire if only replacing pads. For installation, inspect and replace any damaged bolt boots and bushings, position the caliper over the rotor, lubricate the mounting bolts, and tighten them. Connect the brake hose to the caliper with new gaskets and tighten. Reattach the parking brake lever and seal, ensuring cleanliness around the lever seal, then install the anti-friction washer and lubricate the lever seal before securing the lever. Install the damper and return spring, connect the parking brake cable, and secure with a retaining clip. Finally, bleed the brake system, reinstall the wheel and tire assembly, and check the parking brake adjustment. For 1992-98 Eldorado and Seville models, raise and support the vehicle, remove the wheel and tire assembly, and if removing the caliper, detach the brake hose and plug openings. Free the parking brake cable from the lever, remove the cable support bracket, and slide the caliper off the pin sleeve. For installation, inspect and replace any damaged boots and sleeves, then carefully position the caliper back onto the pin sleeve, ensuring the boot is seated properly. Tighten the sleeve bolt and cable support bracket, reconnect the parking brake cable, attach the brake hose with new gaskets, bleed the brake system, and reinstall the wheel and tire assembly while checking the parking brake adjustment.
