Start by loosening the front wheel lug nuts, lifting the car high, placing it on jackstands, and pulling off the front wheel to have access to the GMC Yukon, GMC Yukon XL, and GMC Yukon Denali headlight housing. First, detach the front section of the fender's protective liner. Then remove six outer bolts holding the bumper cover above and one lower bolt at the back that connects to the support bracket. Take off all four bumpers by removing the bolts from underneath and moving the bumper cover straight out from under the fender support bracket, enough to get it free, before pulling it down and forward to remove the headlight housing. Start by loosening the two bolts at the outer bottom of the light housing. Then loosen the two bolts in the upper section. From the front, pull both the top inside and bottom outside edges of the headlight unit to take the locator tab out. Then, pull the whole outer edge forwards to release its other two locator tabs from the radiator support bracket. Just before leaving, disconnect the headlight electrical cable after freeing the housing from its place. To install, do the opposite of what you did during removal.
