To replace the injectors and O-rings in your vehicle's fuel rail assembly, first, relieve the fuel system pressure and disconnect the negative battery terminal. Then, remove the air intake duct and, for non-6.0L models, take off the intake manifold and the fuel pump/fuel rail insulator. Disconnect the fuel feed and high-pressure fuel line, as well as the electrical connectors for the fuel injectors, and remove the mounting bolts from both fuel rails. Pry out the fuel rails and injectors from the cylinder head, remove the retaining clips, and extract each injector from the fuel rail. Eliminate the old combustion chamber Teflon sealing ring and upper O-ring and support ring from each injector, and clean the injector grooves thoroughly. Install new Teflon seals using specialized tools or sockets and plastic tubing. Place a new support ring, lubricate the upper O-ring with engine oil, and attach the injectors to the fuel rail. Reinstall the fuel rail, secure it with new retainers, and apply non-hardening thread locking compound to the fuel rail bolts before tightening them. Finally, connect the high-pressure fuel line fittings, replace the fuel rail fuel pressure sensor, and follow the reverse steps for reassembly. For 6.0L models, remove the intake manifold cover and bracket, disconnect various electrical connectors, detach the engine wiring harness, and disconnect the PCV crankcase ventilation hose. Disconnect the fuel line and EVAP canister purge solenoid, remove the fuel rail mounting bolts, lift the fuel rail and injectors as one assembly, remove the injector retainers, and replace the injectors' O-rings. Lubricate the new O-rings with engine oil, ensure proper alignment and tight fit of the injector retainers, and reassemble everything in reverse order, tightening the fuel rail mounting bolts and checking for fuel leaks once the ignition is turned on.
