    Q:
How to remove and install an air conditioning condenser for Chevrolet Avalanche,Silverado,Suburban,Tahoe,GMC Sierra,Yukon,Yukon Denali and Yukon XL? Posted by Customer
    A:
To remove the air conditioning condenser, the system must first be discharged. If working on a pickup model, the radiator support cover must be removed, and the radiator grille and air baffles must be taken out. The power steering fluid cooler, hood latch, hood latch support brace, and radiator support bracket must also be removed. The refrigerant lines must be disconnected from the condenser, and the condenser must be removed from the vehicle. The rubber insulator pads should be inspected and replaced if necessary. To install the condenser, the components must be reinstalled in reverse order, with the rubber pads in place. If using the original condenser, it should be stored with the line fillings on top, and if using a new condenser, one ounce of R-134a-compatible refrigerant oil should be poured into it prior to installation. Finally, the system must be evacuated, recharged, and leak tested.

    Q:
How to remove the Condenser on Cadillac Escalade? Posted by Customer
    A:
To remove the air conditioning system, start by discharging it. Then, remove the plastic cover over the radiator support and the headlight housings. Next, take out the condenser upper mounting bolts and bracket retaining nut from the radiator. Remove the radiator support and unclip the radiator air baffle. After that, remove the condenser bracket mounting nut and pull the bracket off the stud. Unclip the left and right side air baffles from the condenser. Disconnect the air conditioning lines to the condenser, plugging the open fittings to prevent dirt and moisture from entering, and discard the O-rings. Depress the condenser retaining tabs and carefully lift the condenser off of the radiator. If installing a new condenser, pour two ounces of refrigerant oil into it before installation. To install, follow the reverse order of removal, using new seals lubricated with clean refrigerant oil when attaching the lines to the condenser. Finally, have the system evacuated, recharged, and leak tested.
