To remove the differential, first you need to jack up the rear of the vehicle and put jackstands to support the car and block the front wheels to not move. First, disconnect the driveshaft, followed by the removal of the driveaxles, as well the rear part of the exhaust system. Put a floor jack under the diff assembly, then immobilize the jack using wire or some other securement technique. Take off the rear assembly support bracket and the two side mount through bolt, throw away the nuts and bolts for new ones to be used in rebuilding. Carefully remove the differential.
