Disconnect the negative battery cable, drain the radiator, then disconnect the heater inlet and outlet hoses at the dash, remove the blower inlet to firewall screws, remove the blower inlet, motor and wheel as an assembly, disconnect the control wires from the defroster door and vacuum hose diverter door actuator diaphragm and control cable from the temperature door lever, remove the four nuts securing the heater assembly to the dash, remove the screw securing the defroster outlet tab to the heater assembly, remove the heater assembly from the car, and remove the heater core from the heater assembly. Reverse the above steps for installation, refill cooling system, start engine check for leaks.

Open the drain valve on the lower right side of the radiator and drain the coolant into a suitable container. Disconnect the negative battery cable. Then, in the engine compartment, remove the heater inlet and outlet hoses from the heater core. If equipped, remove the noise absorbing panel from under the dash. Proceed to remove the heater outlet duct and the heater core cover. After that, remove the heater core. If the heater core is in need of repair, have a professional radiator shop or dealer perform the work. Installation is the reverse of the removal procedure. Be sure to refill the radiator with coolant to the proper level, and connect the battery cable.

Be sure to fill the radiator with coolant to the proper level and connect the battery cable.
