First the cover of the brake fluid reservoir should be opened and then about two thirds of the old brake fluid should be drawn into a container to be disposed of. Originally, turn the steering wheel and lift the front of the automobile using a hydraulic jack and fix it with metal stands so that the stable ground is under half of the automobile's wheelbase. Retract the piston of the caliper back into its bore with addition of a C clamp where applicable but make sure that the master cylinder does not over flow. Take out the banjo fitting bolt of the brake hose, the copper seal rings seen on both sides should be discarded and new ones must be used to fit the brake hose back again. Subsequently release the retention knob, in turn unbolt the caliper from the spindle or mounting bracket. For installation reverse the steps followed while removing, but before tightening the bolts, lubricate the ends of the caliper mounting bracket surfaces and caliper then tighten the mounting bolts to a maximum torque.
