How to remove the rear shock absorber on 2005 Chevrolet Astro?

Raise the rear of the vehicle and support it securely on jack stands and block the front wheels to keep the vehicle from rolling. Remove the shock absorber lower mounting nut and bolt. On the right side shock absorber, remove the parking brake cable bracket. Remove the shock absorber upper mounting nut and slide the shock absorber off the bolt that protrudes through the frame. Installation is the reverse of the removal procedure.
