Raise the rear of the vehicle and support it securely on jackstands, ensuring the transmission is in Neutral with the parking brake off, and block the front wheels to prevent rolling. Remove the driveaxle(s). For 2008 and later models, use a slide hammer to pull the rear driveaxle flanges out from the
Differential. Carefully pry out the wheel seal with a seal removal tool or a large screwdriver, taking care not to damage or scratch the seal bore. Using a seal installer or a large deep socket as a drift, install the new seal, driving it into the bore squarely and ensuring it is completely seated. Lubricate the lip of the new seal with multi-purpose grease, then install the driveaxle flange, ensuring it is properly seated in the differential without damaging the lip of the new seal. Install the rear driveaxle(s) and check the differential lubricant level, adding some if necessary to bring it to the appropriate level.
