  Q: How to remove and install the wiper motor in Cadillac ElDorado and Fleetwood?

  A: Starting with the washer hoses, disconnect them from 1991-98 Deville and Fleetwood vehicles. Then remove the Wiper Arm and blade assemblies and take off the cowling screen. Loosen nuts to detach motor drive link from motor crank arm and unplug wiring connectors. Take out the wiper motor fastening bolts; extract the wiper motor by guiding its crank arm through the hole. It must be properly positioned in such a way that it can pass through the hole and then put back to mount. Firmly fasten mounting bolts up to 80 inch lbs. (9 Nm). Connect wiring connectors and motor drive link to motor crank arm while tightening the nuts. Attach cowl screen on top of washer arm and blade assemblies, connect washer hoses. For 1992-98 Eldorado and Seville vehicles, remove A/C pipe shroud, also remove wiper arms. Remove windshield reveal molding for 1990-91 vehicles only. Remove cowl vent and separate wiper arm drive link from wiper motor for 1990-91 vehicles. Wiring connectors must be disconnected while A/C pipe shroud bracket should be removed if it is a vehicle of between 1992-1984 models. Unfasten all of wiper mounting bolts then eliminate this device itself as well as guiding its crank arm via a hole in question. Positioning of their cranks is necessary after which one needs to secure them with appropriate mounting bolts that are so tight at about 80 inch lbs (9 Nm). While putting together a car with registered body identification number, attach wiring connectors on each side before attaching cowl screen, blades assemblies tails, holding washer hoses over a cover armband; but it differs depending on whether an automobile was assembled in one of those years or not (for example, this happened to my father who bought his car back in 1987).
