- A:For 1991-98 Deville and Fleetwood vehicles, start by disconnecting the washer hoses. Then, remove the wiper arm and blade assemblies, followed by the cowl screen. Disconnect the motor drive link from the motor crank arm by loosening the nuts and detach the wiring connectors. Remove the wiper motor mounting bolts and remove the wiper motor, guiding the crank arm through the hole. To install, guide the wiper motor crank arm through the hole and position the wiper motor. Install the mounting bolts and tighten to 80 inch lbs. (9 Nm). Attach the wiring connectors and the motor drive link to the motor crank arm and tighten the nuts. Install the cowl screen, wiper arm and blade assemblies, and connect the washer hoses. For 1992-98 Eldorado and Seville vehicles, remove the A/C pipe shroud and the wiper arms. For 1990-91 vehicles, remove the windshield reveal molding. Remove the cowl vent and disconnect the wiper arm drive link from the wiper motor. Detach the wiring connectors and, for 1992-98 vehicles, remove the A/C pipe shroud bracket from the wheel well. Remove the wiper motor mounting bolts and remove the wiper motor. To install, position the wiper motor and install the mounting bolts. Tighten to 80 inch lbs. (9 Nm). For 1992-98 vehicles, install the A/C pipe shroud bracket to the wheel well. Attach the wiring connectors and connect the wiper arm drive link to the wiper motor. Install the cowl vent and, for 1990-91 vehicles, install the windshield revealed molding. Then, reach through the opening and loosen the transmission drive link to crank arm attaching nuts. Next, remove the transmission drive links from the crank arm of the motor. Disconnect the washer hoses and electrical wiring at the motor. After that, remove the three bolts securing the motor to the firewall cowling.
