The blower motor's location can shift over time and depends on whether your car has front and rear climate controls or just front controls when you buy different trims. Before you put the blower motor in the engine bay, start by disconnecting the negative battery cable, taking off the cowl cross-member support, tracing lines to cut the tire insulator, and removing the metal base under it. Start by unsnapping three electrical plugs, then slide the cooling hose off, and remove the four screws holding the blower motor assembly in place. Free the motor from its case. Before installing, make sure there's a 25 mm gap between the HVAC blower motor and spark plug wires, then put back the blower motor fan assembly and electrical connector, connect the cooling hose and mounting screws, put on the patch plate and insulator seal patch, and replace the cowl cross-tower brace and reconnect the negative battery cable. First, disconnect the car battery negative cable, take off the right instrument panel insulator piece, disconnect the blower motor's electrical plug, and pull the trim panel from the right side of the car's body. Next, loosen the screws or bolts holding the blower motor cover, while lifting the motor to remove the last bolt. If necessary, disconnect the isolator from the motor flange. Start by getting a complete pre-matched blower motor kit, put the isolator on the motor's flange, adjust the motor to fit the module opening, and put it carefully where it needs to go. Put the bolts in, make sure they're tight at 17 inch lbs., press the right setting pin to secure the body's connection, connect the wires, put the instrument board barrier back, and reconnect the battery's negative terminal.
