To take out the hood latch follow these procedures; first remove the
Bumper cover fascia support fasteners and the panel this included the push-pin fasteners and the mounting screws for the panel. Then, jot a line around the latch to help guide it while installation; the last step is to undo the bolts that hold the hood latch in place with the radiator support, and then you can remove the latch. Remove the electrical connector, push and snap the cable retainer to unlock it from the body and pull out the cable out of the latch end plug. Then in the engine area, pull the bolts and levers of the hood which is in the intermediate position with the door lock and disconnect the lever of the hood release from the lock. Remove two release cable clips which is present along the front of the reinforcement now, open two such release cable clips at the upper part of the fender and now remove release cable from these clips. Remove the release cable clip from the wiring harness, and push the hood release handle down and inwards to remove it from the instrument panel then disconnect this handle from the cable and pull it through the firewall. Last but not least, installation is carried out in the order of removal in reverse sequence.
