    Q: How to remove and install a starter motor on Chevrolet Camaro?
    A:
    Detach the cable from the negative terminal of the battery. Raise the vehicle and support it securely on jackstands, then remove the under-vehicle splash shield. Support the engine from above using an engine support fixture, then remove the driver's side engine mount. Remove the starter solenoid electrical connector and the starter battery cable nut, then disconnect both wires from the starter. Remove the starter mounting fasteners and take out the starter. For V8 engines, if equipped, remove the starter heat shield. Remove the starter mounting fasteners and lower the starter to access the wiring, ensuring not to let the starter hang by the wiring. Remove the starter battery cable nut and cable, then disconnect the starter solenoid electrical connector and remove the starter. Installation is the reverse of removal.
