Loosen the front wheel lug nuts, raise the front of the vehicle, and support it securely on jackstands before removing the wheel. Support the outer end of the lower
Control Arm with a floor jack, ensuring the shock absorber module acts as the down-stop for the suspension, and keep the jack in this position throughout the procedure. Remove the bolt securing the shock absorber to the control arm, then take off the shock absorber damper shaft nut while holding the shaft with a wrench to prevent it from turning. After removing the upper insulator, pull the shock absorber out of the frame mount and take it out. For installation, reverse the removal procedure, ensuring to assemble the insulators and plastic pilot ring in the same orientation as during removal, tighten the damper shaft nut to the specified torque, raise the control arm with the floor jack to simulate normal ride height, and then tighten the lower mounting bolt/nut to the specified torque. Finally, install the wheels and lug nuts, lower the vehicle, and tighten the lug nuts to the specified torque.
