Pop the hood and cover up the fenders and the cowl area of the body in with blankets or pads. Disconnect the screws and supports of the front
Bumper cover and then, pull out the air inlet. Then, take out the radiator grille support bolts and the support and the last the hood latch bolts from the radiator support. To disconnect the hood latch cable, twist the spring so that it makes some additional turns to release the cable from the hook being in the spring. In the car, while inside, you then pry apart the carpet retainer/kick panel with the help of a trim tool on the left side. Twist the handle down to approximately ninety degrees to it and then remove it from the body from which release the cable end from the handle assembly. Take out the cowl cover and shove the rubber release cable grommet right through the firewall along the direction of engine and pull the fibre hood release cable from the interior to the engine compartment. Connect the end of new cable to a wire or a string and rewind it up back to the position of the latch mechanism and make sure the cable grommet is installed properly in the engine compartment firewall. For the passenger compartment, replace the hood latch handle into it bracket then slide it to lock the retainer clips. Do the following things in order to complete the installation: Go through the steps you have just uninstalled.
