To remove the PCV hose, start by taking off the engine cover if it is equipped. Disconnect the hose from the intake manifold by moving the retaining clip to the unlocked position and pulling off the hose. For 2015 and earlier 1.4L models, disconnect the vacuum lines from the charge air bypass and wastegate actuator, then disconnect the PCV hose from the turbocharger by squeezing the retainer and pulling off the hose, removing the hose and vacuum lines as an assembly. For 2016 and later 1.4L engines, remove the PCV valve retaining bolt and pull the valve from the valve cover, then disconnect the PCV tube quick-connect fitting and remove the PCV assembly. Note that the PCV system components have tamper-proof connections and cannot be disassembled; the fresh air inlet duct is connected to the PCV tube with a tamper-proof connection, requiring all components to be replaced as an assembly once removed. For 1.8L models, disconnect the hose from the valve cover. Installation is the reverse of removal. To address the crankcase vent housing, remove the valve cover, noting that the vent housing is an integral component of the valve cover and cannot be replaced separately. Installation is again the reverse of removal.
