How to replace the A/C switch on Chevrolet Malibu?

Replacing the A/C Switch requires a special scan tool to program the replacement unit. To start, unplug the cord from the battery's negative terminal. For 2015 and earlier 2.0L models and all 2.5L models, get rid of trim stick for radio, heater and air conditioning control assembly from center panel around it. Also, take out extension panels on left and right of center console. Remove fasteners that hold instrument panel trim cover then remove both bottom part of instrument panel top part of floor console. For 2016 and later models having 1.5L and 2.0L engines, use Trim Stick to remove Instrument Panel Right Side Center Trim Panel. In models with engine sizes up to 2 L produced in or before year 2015 , unscrew A/C Switch screws before pulling off Control Unit itself from its place in them. On all cars with engines up to two liters built after two thousand fifteen model year & beyond (and also one point five liter ones as well as two point zero liter ones), insert a lever into A/C Switch bezel so that you can pull out Control Unit after undoing clips holding it in place on electronic circuit board below that contains electrical contact points for these connectors within housing ; once detached completely remove this whole module by lifting upwards gently but firmly until fully separated from other parts behind like wiring loom assemblies etc.; move away carefully while making sure not scratch anything during process since there might be fragile components we do not want damaged while doing such job; simply disconnect any connections situated at backside so that they can take whole unit away easily which is just opposite way used when taking item down earlier making up its installation process complete.

Q: How to replace the A/C switch on Chevrolet Malibu?
