Twist the negative battery cable off, and take out the two screws above the ashtray. If these screws are there, remove them. Take apart your car's control knobs and carefully remove the trim panels covering the radio and A/C Switch area. First take out the radio, then open up the glove compartment. Unscrew the A/C Switch mounting screws, pull the dash unit straight back, and lift it until the wires reach their limit. Look at the cable housings where the clamps hold them. Put paint marks on the cable housing where you can't see the indentation. Loosen the clamps and take off the control cables. When you need to: Loosen the control cable connection near the end opposite the A/C Switch. Remove the clamps that hold the cable and lift the cable off from the control lever. Disconnect the wiring parts and carefully take the A/C Switch out of your car. Installation is the reverse of removal. The control cable should go back into place right around the clamp mark, which will already put everything in place. But if the adjustment doesn't feel right, remove the clamp and adjust the cable until the lever moves naturally.
