Disconnect the negative cable at the battery and check. Remove the lower finish panel and steering column cover. Trace the wiring harness down the steering column to the connector, releasing the wiring retainer clamp if equipped, and unplug the connector. Use an ohmmeter or self-powered test light to check for continuity between the switch terminals at each switch position, replacing the switch if continuity is not present. Remove the steering wheel, then take out the turn signal switch retaining screws and slide the switch up and off the steering column. Installation is the reverse of removal.
